description
Constantin Piliuță undertakes a laborious process through which he continues the tradition of national lyricism. In his creation, we often encounter landscapes of memory, already lived landscapes, transposed from memory. Piliuță reveals his lyrical-reflective character by creating an imagistic repertoire that takes the form of profound meditative paintings. His painting is discreet and elevated, and his drawing presents itself as simple and well balanced. The artist develops a luminous crescendo through the careful reporting of touches in dark shades to the evocative white that articulates the work. He pays special attention to the dimension of white, which he successfully translates into plastic matter. Evocative and meditative, he remembers and embeds the image of his birthplaces over time. He draws from the characteristics of French expressionists, focusing more on a unitary ensemble and less on stylistic details. The artist focuses on outlining a fast universe, dedicated to the love of people and nature, in which he includes, through repetitions, winter landscapes, horses, musicians or ballerinas, to which he gives new valences.
