Vasilka Pavlova Genadieva is one of the bright representatives of women artists who marked the history of Bulgarian art in the 20th century. Born in 1905 in the city of Sofia, she is a descendant of the old Kesyakovi family from Koprivshten on her mother's side, and her father is the Bulgarian revolutionary and public figure Pavel Genadiev. Genadieva graduated in painting at the Art Academy, in the class of professors Nikola Marinov and Boris Mitov in 1930.
